You’ve been invited to collaborate on Keen

A practical guide for partners invited to Keen: join the shared channel, submit or review leads, keep opportunities moving, and understand what happens next.

A partner has invited your company to Keen so you can manage your shared opportunities in one place. From the moment a lead is introduced to the final outcome, Keen gives both teams a clear, up-to-date view of the partnership.

Here’s how to get set up after completing sign-up.

1. Open your invitation and join the partnership

After creating your account, accept the invitation from the partner who invited you. This gives you access to the shared channel—your dedicated workspace for this relationship.

You may be invited to:

  • Refer leads to your partner
  • Receive leads from your partner
  • Collaborate on a two-way partnership

Your partner sets the initial channel structure, so you can begin working together without rebuilding the setup from scratch. If you already have a Keen account, use that account when accepting the invitation.

2. Get familiar with your shared channel

Open the channel to see how the partnership works. This is where you’ll find the shared lead pipeline, partner details and any information your teams need to collaborate.

Take a moment to understand:

  • Which type of leads should be shared
  • The stages a lead moves through
  • What information is required when submitting a lead
  • Who owns each next step

Also confirm whether the channel is for sending leads, receiving leads, or both. A clear setup helps both teams qualify opportunities consistently and avoid missed handovers.

3. Submit your first lead—or review one you’ve received

If you refer customers or prospects to your partner, add a lead directly in Keen. Include the relevant contact details, context and any agreed qualification information so your partner can act quickly.

If your partner sends leads to you, review the new opportunity and update its status as it progresses. Every update is visible in the shared pipeline, so both sides can stay aligned without chasing updates by email or spreadsheet.

4. Keep the opportunity moving

Update each lead as it develops—for example, from new to in review, qualified, won or lost. Add the context your partner needs at each stage, especially when an opportunity is delayed, disqualified or ready for the next action.

If your team works in a CRM, make sure the Keen lead can still be identified when its status changes. This keeps Keen and your CRM aligned and helps rewards trigger on the right outcome.

Regular updates help you:

  • Give your partner confidence that leads are being followed up
  • Identify where opportunities are getting stuck
  • Maintain an accurate view of shared pipeline and outcomes
  • Build a stronger, more transparent partnership

5. Understand rewards and outcomes

If your partnership includes referral fees, revenue share or other incentives, Keen can connect rewards to successful outcomes. Depending on how your partner has configured the channel, you may be able to see the rewards associated with your performance and the progress of related approvals or payouts.

Rewards may be based on an event such as a new lead, a qualified opportunity, a won deal or a purchase. If anything is unclear—such as eligibility, amounts or timing—agree the commercial terms directly with your partner.

6. Make Keen part of your regular partnership rhythm

Return to Keen whenever you introduce a lead, receive an update or need to review progress. Over time, the shared channel becomes a reliable record of the partnership: the opportunities you’ve created together, their outcomes and the value delivered.

The more consistently both sides use the channel, the easier it is to follow up, give feedback and understand what is working.
